Tadoku is a way of reading that allows students to read a variety of readings that are easy, interesting and fun so that it motivates them to read more. In addition, they can also get new information about things they read.
When students read a large number of various texts, it becomes a useful linguistic input for their Japanese language development. Kana, kanji, vocabulary, and grammar that appear repeatedly in the text will make them have a better understanding of the things
Tadoku can be applied in independent learning as well as in the classroom. Here are tips for students who want to apply tadoku in their learning.

- Start from scratch
- Don’t use dictionary
- Skip over difficult words, phrases and passages
- When the going gets tough, quit the book and pick up another

多読（たどく）は、学生がかんたんでおもしろい読み物を読み、それによって読む楽しさを感じる学習法です。 さらに、たくさん読むことで、いろいろな新しい知識も得ることができます。
学生がさまざまなものを読むことは日本語の発達につながる大事なインプットになります。 読みものに繰り返して出てくる文字、語彙、文法の意味や使いかたをより深く理解できます。
多読は、教室だけでなく、自律学習（じりつがくしゅう）にも応用できます。 学生が自分で多読をするときに、大切なルールを覚えておきましょう。
